MissionsNazarene Missions International (NMI)
Nazarene Missions International (NMI) at Wake Forest Church of the Nazarene provides opportunities for each person to be involved in fulfilling the Great Commission.* The purpose of NMI is to mobilize the church in mission through praying, discipling, giving, and educating.
PRAYING: Wake Forest Church of the Nazarene prays (individually, in small groups, and in corporate worship) for global missions including our local church and community. The NMI Prayer Mobilization Line (PML) in updated twice a week and is accessible by phone or as an online subscription.
DISCIPLING: NMI involves and mentors participants of all ages in order to make Christlike disciples for God’s mission in the nations. NMI provides opportunities for each person to become involved in the mission of the church and to respond to God’s call.
GIVING: NMI encourages people to devote themselves and their resources to extend Christ’s kingdom. Wake Forest Church of the Nazarene gives at least 5.5% of its income to the World Evangelism Fund, which is the lifeline of the Church of the Nazarene’s mission to the nations.
EDUCATING: NMI informs people of the world’s needs and enables our church to help meet those needs in Christ. NMI Reading Books/CDs, mission service projects, hands-on mission activities, mission speakers, multimedia mission resources and missions publications are all utilized to develop global awareness. You are invited to participate in one of our local NMI meetings.
